Who we are & what we do
Parwich Parish Council consists of up to 7 councillors who serve for a four-year term, or until the next full Parish Council election. Councillors may be elected, or co-opted if insufficient are elected. All councillors are voluntary.
Council Meetings are normally held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, except August and December, when there is no meeting. The Meetings are usually held in the Parwich Memorial Hall at 7.30pm.

Parwich Parish Council has responsibility for the wellbeing of your local neighbourhood. Its work can fall into several categories:-
1. Representing the local community.
2. Managing land and property.
3. Providing services and/or facilities.
4. Striving to improve the quality of life in the local area.
Councillors are required to complete a Declaration of Disclosable Interests which is retained by the Monitoring Officer for Derbyshire Dales District Council and can be seen by clicking here.
Becoming a Councillor
Your councillors are all elected or co-opted onto the Council, if you would like to become a councillor or find out more about what they do then please follow the links below. The 4-yearly election for councillors is organised by Derbyshire Dales District Council.
Any other election/co-option for additional councillors outside of a main election will be organised by the Parish Clerk, advertised on this website and also on the Parish Council Noticeboard outside Parwich Memorial Hall.
